Jewellery Making Class

I started a Jewellery making, silversmithing evening class this week, the first class was great we all made a silver ring, i've been wearing mine since i made it!

I am looking forward to the next class im sure it will be just as fun!

UK Etsy Retreat 2008

What is the best way to spend a weekend?
Pack up all the crafting gear you can fit in the car and your sister and head off to a craft retreat for the weekend!

This was the 2nd UK Etsy Retreat, it was organised by Tinyisland (aka Debbie) it is held in a gorgeous boarding school in York, with a fabulous art department.

What did we do there?
Loads of stuff, what an atmosphere there was so much going on, everyone has their own speciality/craft and we all helped each other try new things.
I did: needle felting, lino printing, crazy freehand embroidery on the sewing machine, screen printing, i made some ring bound books, made loads of button rings,made a bracelet, started a rug and decorated a bag.

Welcome To My First Blog

Traveling Journal

For my first blog thought i would just let you know what ive been doing over the past few days!
Well some time ago i signed up to be part of a traveling journal with some other UK crafters on the Etsy website www.etsy.com . The journal is being passed round the group and each person has to fill a double page, this is my contribution.
I decided to sketch someone wearing a piece of jewellery, i have stitched some pearls onto the sketch and added a necklace to the side of the page.
